When I first made an appointment with Dr. Terence Jackson DMD MA, I had no idea what to expect! I had never been to a periodontist but I was referred to one by my dentist. From the moment I walked into the office I was so pleased to find such a clean, fresh space that was inviting and immaculate – well, that was the same feeling I had when I met Dr. Jackson, he was warm and extremely professional and thorough. He exuded confidence, ability, technical proficiency and had an easy going manner that made you feel assured in the knowledge that you were clearly in very capable and caring hands. I knew exactly what the plan of action was at all times. Amazingly, he had such a light touch that nothing ever hurt. He taught me things about my teeth and teeth in general that I never knew. I was there for an implant which he performed successfully and I almost (almost!) wish I had more work because I would be the beneficiary of another one of his fabulous scalings! My teeth never felt so clean! I never felt this way with any other dentist – his chair-side manner was calming and reassuring and I knew exactly what he was doing during the whole procedure. Most importantly, the first thing he taught me was the proper way to care for my teeth – no one ever did that before. One thing he did that really showed how much he really cared was when he called me after my dental implant surgery at dinner time to ask me how my mouth was feeling, knowing that I could barely eat. It was a gesture I will not soon forget. I actually miss my visits with Dr. Jackson and have been raving about him all over town!

Dr. Jackson came very highly recommended to me by some members of my family. I needed to have a lot of work done on my mouth and had been putting it off. I went in for a consult with Dr. Jackson and he took a lot of time to explain everything to me. There was no pressure. He told me, whenever I was ready and was always available if I had any questions. I found Dr. Jackson to be not only very professional, but you can tell he genuinely cares about his work and his patients and he has a great sense of humor. I was really scared to have this work done, but I need more and I am not scared to go at all. That says a lot!

I was recommended by my dentist to see Dr. Jackson for periodontal work. After my initial consultation, a thorough exam was performed. Having had periodontal work done in the past, I was extremely impressed with his expertise, professional manner and state of the art facility. His support staff could not be more accommodating and efficient. Since my initial consultation, I have had several grafting procedures, and an implant, all with great results. After every procedure Dr. Jackson personally makes a follow up telephone call to check in on how I am feeling. That is something you rarely see today. I am extremely comfortable and confident that I am receiving the best care possible. My confidence was reinforced when I noticed Dr. Jackson was included in “Top Dentist’s List” in Connecticut Magazine’s August ’08 issue. It was with great reluctance that I went to see Dr Jackson, okay to be honest it was only because I couldn’t bear to face my regular dentist again without having something done about a tooth I had lost about 4 years before. The missing tooth was on the side, didn’t really show but as my dentist had been telling me bone loss would happen, and that would bring me nothing but problems for my other teeth. I have extreme anxiety about any dental procedure and a cleaning is a major ordeal for me.

I have had a wonderful (okay as wonderful as it could be) experience with Dr. Jackson. He has been very good at dealing with my dental phobia, explained everything that I had questions about, made me feel very comfortable. I felt that he was treating me as he would his own family. Pain was not an issue, he did a terrific job making sure that both stages of the procedure were comfortable for me. After the 1st stage of the implant process checks of the site are required, my work schedule is difficult, Dr. Jackson and his staff always managed to work around it. One less worry for me – actually that was this entire implant procedure was Worry Free. I am so glad that I didn’t let the anxiety of dental procedures or the embarrassment of going so long with the missing tooth stop me from seeking out Dr. Jackson, he really was outstanding in his care. I soon will be smiling wider because of him!

I felt so lucky to have had Dr. Jackson work on my mouth. He is very well read and extremely knowledgeable about the field of Periodontics. Dr. Jackson is extremely gentle, precise and quick handed, making even the most complicated procedure seem like a piece of cake. His down to earth demeanor puts you at ease and he also works extremely well with his colleagues. After the surgery was done, he followed up with a phone call to make sure I was doing ok.
